NFL 2010 Season Predictions: NFC West Arizona Cardinals

Sorry I haven't posted for a week. I have been busy with the first week of classes and attending one of my best friend's weddings. Today I am posting the last two teams, the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers, and then tomorrow I will post my postseason predictions.

Today we have the Arizona Cardinals.

Analysis: The Cardinals may not have lost as many players as other teams, but they may be the team who lost the most. Warner was a great story and a great quarterback, and now 2006 first rounder Matt Leinart will have to step up. Anderson was brought in for insurance, but if Leinart doesn’t work, then it will be bad. Boldin’s departure is rough, but Steve Breaston has developed and now will step into the second wide receiver position behind Larry Fitzgerald. Tim Hightower and Beanie Wells developed nicely last year and should provide a good ground attack, but like the Eagles, this is a team that likes to pass, so Leinart will be relied on. Williams will step right in on defense to help the hurting defesensive line, and Porter will likely take the lead at linebacker with the loss of Dansby. Kerry Rhodes and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie should provide a solid secondary, but the loss of Rolle will hurt. This will be a new team, but they still have the parts to make it work if Leinart can step in and instantly contribute.

2010 Season Predictions: 4-12, Second in NFC West
