NFL 2010 Season Predictions: AFC North Baltimore Ravens

Today we have the final team in the AFC North, the Baltimore Ravens.

Sorry for the break in the teams, I was just traveling back home to Michigan from Colorado. I am six teams behind, so I will put up six teams today, so look at them all. Also, as many may have seen, Brett Favre reportedly retired today and that will of course change my predictions. I am going to wait and see what will stick before I change things, but I think it will more or less change the NFC more than the AFC, but I will let you know my changes when this announcement is for sure.

Analysis: The Ravens are a young team that keeps getting better. Joe Flacco is going to be a very good quarterback, and he limits his mistakes. With the addition of Boldin along with Mark Clayton, Derrick Mason, Donte’ Stallworth and Todd Heap, Flacco has a lot of options. Ray Rice is one of the best backs in the game, and he is also young. Having Willis McGahee to help him when he needs it, the offense should be very explosive this year. The best part of the Ravens team has always been the defense. Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis are a deadly duo in the linebacker core and with the additions of Redding and Cody, the line has some good depth. Ed Reed looks like he may be out a couple of weeks, but when he gets back, the team has a chance to be one of the best in the NFL.

2010 Season Prediction: 11-5, AFC North Division Champs

  1. With the Ravens putting together an offense to go along with that stout defense, this could be the team to watch in 2010. If Reed and Lewis stay healthy that is.

  2. I agree. While 11-5 may not be the best record, this is a very solid team. They started hot last year, but were hit with injuries. If they can stay healthy and Flacco keeps producing, this is a scary team. Watch out!
