Analysis: This is a growing and developing team. After Matt Cassel’s surprising season two years ago with the Patriots, the Chiefs thought they had found a franchise quarterback. He may be, but he didn’t have the team to surround him last year. He got better as the year went on and I think he will improve more this year. Running back Jamaal Charles came from nowhere last year, and the addition of Thomas Jones should make the running game the focus of this year’s offense. At wide receiver, they still need some help. Chris Chambers is aging and Dwayne Bowe isn’t anything to write home about. Moeaki from Iowa might be able to contribute at tight end, but again, running should be the focus. The defense has improved more this year. Eric Berry should be excellent in the starting safety position and Javier Arenas should add depth to the corner back position. The line is still strong and the addition of Shaun Smith makes it stronger. The team has some room for improvement, but they should do better than the 4-12 last year.

2010 Season Predictions: 6-10, Third in AFC West
