Analysis: After the 2008 season where Kerry Collins led the team to the best record in the league, the team fell hard in 2009 with Collins still leading the way. They started 0-6, and then Vince Young came in and they finished the season 8-2, but too late to make the playoffs. Young has had the entire offseason with the team as starting quarterback and Chris Johnson will be back after a 2,000+-yard season. Nate Washington and Justin Gage along with rookie Williams should provide Young with some weapons, but the loss of Crumpler will hurt. Bo Scaife is an OK tight end, but he will need to improve. The defense also lost Kyle Vanden Bosch, so rookie Morgan will have to be ready to fill some big shoes. Michael Griffin and Chris Hope lead a strong secondary, but the linebackers could use some help. With the Texans getting better every year, the Titans will need to score a lot and get help at the linebacker position to make the playoffs.

2010 Season Prediction: 10-6, Third in AFC South

  1. I agree with you that the Titans end up 3rd in the AFC South, but 10 wins might be high. This team lost quite a few players and it's not humanly possible for Johnson to have another season like in 2009 right? That guy was a freak!

  2. They did lose a lot this off season, but I think their schedule favors them. They have some pretty favorable match-ups. I don't think Johnson will have as great of a season, but I think that will be because Vince Young will be behind center to start the season. I think they will have a solid year as a team though.
