NFL 2010 Season Predictions: NFC West San Francisco 49ers

Sorry I haven't posted for a week. I have been busy with the first week of classes and attending one of my best friend's weddings. Today I am posting the last two teams, the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers, and then tomorrow I will post my postseason predictions.

Today we have our final team, the San Francisco 49ers. Tomorrow I will post my playoff and Super Bowl XLV champions.

Week 17: Cardinals

Analysis: This could be a dangerous team. They didn’t loss much in the offseason and after a .500 year last year that saw Alex Smith finally step into his role as starting quarterback, the team will compete for the division title this year. Michael Crabtree’s late entrance last year didn’t help, but he has had time to develop with the team. Ginn Jr. may be able to provide help at the slot receiver position. Frank Gore is a solid back that was injured last year, but when he is healthy, he can pound out yards. Glen Coffee adds depth at the position. Davis and Iupati will both probably be instant starters with Joey Staley and Adam Snyder on the offensive line, and if they contribute, will make the line a lot better. The defensive line could use some work, but the linebacking squad is still solid with Takeo Spikes and Patrick Willis. Mays should add depth in the secondary that could use the help. Dashon Goldson and Nat Clements did a solid job last year. The team can be dangerous if everything goes smooth, and with Mike Singletary at the helm, will easily compete in the weak division.

2010 Season Predictions: 13-3, NFC West Division Champs
